Chris Hohlstein, CFA
Senior Managing Director

Chris serves as Senior Managing Director at SeaBridge Investment Advisors, overseeing client service, portfolio management, and business development. As an active member of the Investment Committee, Chris contributes his experience in wealth management and client service to the firm.

Chris was a founding member of SeaBridge in 1997 and returned in 2021 after holding various leadership roles. He served as President of the Southeast Region for BNY Mellon Wealth Management, leading a team of 125 professionals and managing a portfolio exceeding $13 billion in assets. Prior to BNY Mellon, Chris was director of Synovus Family Asset Management in Columbus, Georgia, where he led a multifamily office managing assets totaling over $4 billion.

Outside of his professional roles, Chris is engaged in community service and has held leadership positions on boards including the Metro Atlanta Boys and Girls Club, Piedmont Healthcare Foundation, the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia, and Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Massachusetts. He is also a member of the Atlanta Downtown Rotary Club and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a CFA® charterholder, a designation awarded by the CFA Institute to professionals who complete a rigorous program of study and meet requirements in ethics, investment analysis, and professional standards.
