Chris Hohlstein is the Senior Managing Director of SeaBridge Investment Advisors.  In this role, he has oversight of client service, portfolio management, and business development activities.  He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Chris was one of the original founders of SeaBridge in 1997 and rejoined the firm in 2021.  Previously, he served as President Southeast Region for BNY Mellon Wealth management leading a team of 125 professionals managing over $13 billion in assets.  Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he was the director of Synovus Family Asset Management in Columbus, Georgia where he led a 33-person multifamily office serving families primarily in the southeast with total assets over $4 billion.

Chris is active in the community and has served or is serving on boards including: Metro Atlanta Boys and Girls Club (Executive Committee and Chair of the Board Development Committee), Piedmont Healthcare Foundation, Odum School of Ecology (Univ. of Georgia), and Eaglebrook School (Deerfield, MA).  He is also a member of the Atlanta Downtown Rotary Club and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.

Chris graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and received his MBA from Harvard Business School.  He is a CFA charterholder.
